Return to Sugarland, Or How Lulu Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Weird

“What have you done now, Lulu?” The Witch looked surprised. Lulu looked around her at the now familiar landscape of Sugarland. The weather was lovely, the sky going through all of the colors of the rainbow in succession setting the gumball grove’s sugary fruits aglow with sparkling vibrancy like nothing Lulu had ever imagined. The Witch was staring at her now, expectantly. “Just how did this happen?” The Wicked Witch pointed her wand at the tiny, sparkling crossbody Prada bag that Lulu now wore.  “Wow,” she examined it and noted that it looked identical to the one The Witch wore. “I wished for it just as we were leaving Walla Walla.”  “You do manage to surprise me consistently.” The Witch scowled at Lulu. “Perhaps you will succeed after all.”  “Now sit on this pile of gold dabloons and the vampires will arrive presently.”
